Our Home

Our Home: We live in a comfortable 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house built on 5 acres in beautiful Wakulla County, Florida. We are about a half hour south of Tallahassee, the capital of Florida. We are also about 5 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico. This area of Florida, often referred to as “The Forgotten Coast” is one of Florida’s most natural and is surrounded by beautiful beaches, crystal clear natural springs, wildlife refuges and state & national forests. Our yard is what children's dreams are made of! There's plenty
of room to run around and play. Fresh fruit is year round. We have plum, banana, grape, blueberry, black raspberry, fig and almond trees. With five acres of wooded paradise our children will grow up exploring nature and its many wonders. There will be
unsurpassed opportunities to let their imagination's wander. I predict many forts and secret hideouts will be built! Eventually bicycle path's will be worn through our forest and the peace and solitude broken by the unmistakably wonderful sound of children playing! When the heat gets to be just a little too much we will all be able to cool off in our screened in pool. After enjoying such full days, evenings will be made special by enjoying a cook out or making fresh homemade pizza and gathering around the ice cream bar for dessert with a nightcap of storytelling and reading.

Although we live in a very rural area, we are able to take advantage of the many conveniences of city living. Nearby Tallahassee offers many opportunities for working, education and recreation. While the Florida State University dominates both the academic and athletic scenes, there are also three other major colleges located in Tallahassee. With an abundance of major universities in the area and associated research facilities, it is no surprise that education is held in high regard in this area. Indeed, one of the major advantages of living in Wakulla County is that it has one of the highest rated school systems in the state.
Between the coast and the city there is always something going on in our area. Whether its the local Worm Gruntin' Festival, Blue Crab Festival, local sporting events, sailboat regattas, concerts or theater, there is always something fun
to do. That doesn't even mention the many activities found
in most areas such as scouting, little league and other youth sports, marine labs and local fishing holes. We are grateful
to live in such an active and diverse community and we truly believe that this will be the perfect place to raise our family.

Our Pets!
Our Pets: We have 2 outside pets, Jayda and Kitty. Jayda is a happy Lab mix we adopted from the local shelter and she just loves to run & fetch balls that Steven throws! Our adopted cat, Kitty, came with the house. She spends most of her time patrolling the woods for intruders. Both have excellent temperaments and are extremely friendly. Jayda is 7 years young and just wants to please. She's very much a "people dog" and is proving to be the perfect dog for children to play and run with. Steve and Jayda run everywhere together. Life is good.
