About Alex, Dianne & Steven
Dianne was born in Connecticut but raised in Massachussets with an older sister and 2 younger brothers.  To this very day it is obvious that Dianne is the daughter of a carpenter as she has quite the touch with household woodworking projects.  As a young girl growing up surrounded by siblings and a large group of cousins and family friends, Dianne spent a great deal of time babysitting and always loved children.  Dianne has many wonderful memories of camping, picnics and many outdoor outings.  She previously worked as a Certified Medical Assistant for a local doctor and is now happy to be Steve's stay at home Mommy.  She can't wait for the stork to arrive again!

Alex was born in Hawaii and raised in New Jersey.  He still has family in both states and enjoys visiting them.  As a child, Alex grew up loving sports.  Today he still enjoys distance running and playing catcher in an adult baseball league.  During his late teen years he became interested in aviation and earned his certified commercial pilot and flight instructor licenses.   While he doesn't fly much anymore he is still a fan of the aeronautical sciences and loves to attend airshows.  His
aviation exposure led him to an interest in physics and  he earned his BS degree in Electrical Engineering at Florida State University and recently completed his MBA.   Today, he is employed as an Electrical Engineer for the City of Tallahassee Power  Engineering Dept.
Together, we are both interested in science and feel education is very important.  We hope to make science enjoyable to our children.
For fun we all enjoy playing in the water!  Whether it's swimming in our pool or the ocean or boating in one of the nearby spring fed-crystal clear rivers, we always seem to have a great time.  We can’t wait to see the look on our children’s face the first time they play in the ocean! This will truly be a great place for a child to experience nature first hand.  We both love the outdoors and most outdoor activities such as camping, kayaking and boating.  We have camped from Florida, through Northwest Canada and into Alaska.  This was an incredible experience.  We saw a ton of bear, moose, elk and sheep.  The views of the mountains were unbelievable.  Florida is also a great place to camp, and we have started to create similar memories with Steve and hope to do the same with our next child!  We have a great life together but when we think of all the things we can share with another child; unconditional love, joy, education, endless opportunities & most importantly, Steve, a great big brother.  We can't help but be excited about the future and having another child to love.

"It was a sunny Florida day and all seemed well.  Then all of a sudden there was a black cloud of smoke, and inside it a beautiful woman determined to succeed in her mission.  I had no choice but to spring into action and rescue this damsel in distress.....And they lived happily ever after!"  Ever since the day Dianne's weedwhacker blew up, we knew we were meant to be together forever.  We have been happily married for 14 years and have enjoyed every minute of it.  Together, we have a true zest for life and just love to keep going.  We have many mutual interests, and our love of the outdoors has always played a large role in our lives.  For that reason Florida is a great place to live, raise a family and have fun doing it!  Since the open adoption of our son Steve, born June 2008, everything has taken on new meaning.  He is such a loving, affectionate boy and his curiosity and fun is contagious.  It is very exciting to imagine all of
the great experiences awaiting Steve and his future sibling!

Christmas 2009
Steve was born in Naples, FL in June, 2008.  He came to
us thru open adoption and we are and will be forever grateful.  We keep in contact with his birthmother through mutual emails and pictures.  We send updated pictures monthly so that his birthmother can see his growth and development.  Steve is a very happy, loving and exuberant little guy.  His motor is always running in overdrive!  He just loves to swim in the pool and playing with Mommy & Daddy in the water.  He seems to love anything outdoors.  He's always amazed when deer run through the yard.  He also loves for us to read him stories, go for walks and take him on bicycle rides on our local trails.  We celebrated Steve's 1st birthday June 2009 as well as Alex's first Father's Day together with family and friends.  There was plenty of fun, food and entertainment.  Steve will be a great big brother because he is very happy, sweet and affectionate.   We know Steve is anxious for a new brother or sister to grow up with and share memories of their fun and good times.   We all can't wait for the adventure to begin!!
